My Areas of Practice
I took a roundabout path to become a Pulmonary Critical Care Physician. I started out as a Physical Therapist and subsequently returned to Medical School in Australia. This was followed by 13 years of residency and fellowship in Australia, England, and America. Throughout this I became strongly convinced that listening is the most important part of caring for patients. I believe in, and practice, Evidence Based Medicine. But alongside medical science, I believe that communication and community are integral to healing.

Personal

Growing up on the beaches of Australia, I never dreamed I would end up in the Midwest of America. Now that I have somwhat acclimatised, I am grateful to live in the land of 10,000 lakes, and I spend as much time as I can outside enjoying this beautiful landscape; on foot, on bicycle, on a boat, or on a picnic blanket! When the climate requires indoor pursuits, you will most often find me at the Minnesota Opera, the Art Museum, or enjoying one of the many great restaurants here.
