My Areas of Practice

Dr. Dawn Jenkins specializes in Women's Care and provides a spectrum of services to reproductive age women.  This could include a first gynecologic visit, prenatal care and delivery, contraceptive counseling, annual well exams (<55 yr old), management of heavy menses, menopause, surgery and more!  Dr. Jenkins has a special interest in gynecologic surgery as well as advanced laparoscopy and minimally invasive surgery.  She attends annual meetings and advanced surgical courses to remain up to date with the lastest information regarding women's health and to perfect her surgical techniques to provide the best care for her patients. She enjoys getting to know her patients and providing care in order to assist them in maintaining a healthy active lifestyle.

Personal

Dr. Jenkins was born in Bethel, Alaska, but spent most of her early years in Hibbing, MN.  She went to St. Olaf College and then completed a Master's of Science degree in Anatomy and Cell Biology before attending medical school.  She graduated from the University of North Dakota School of Medicine in Grand Forks, ND, and then went on to complete her Ob/Gyn residency training in Grand Rapids, MI. She practiced Ob/Gyn in Arizona before returning to Minnesota.  “My passions include providing care to women and discussing their problems, concerns, and general well-being throughout their lives.”  When not at Park Nicollet, Dr. Jenkins enjoys spending time with her wonderful husband and two beautiful children, Cody and Brianna.
